The Challenge: SNEB needed to run a national conference with limited resources and too many disconnected tools.
For the Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB), preparing their annual conference has historically meant juggling multiple systems such as separate platforms for abstract submissions, program scheduling, spreadsheets, and a standalone mobile app. With a small staff, this patchwork created constant duplication of effort, communication bottlenecks, and high risk for errors. Updating the same information in three or four different places was both tedious and unsustainable.
Staff weren’t the only ones affected. Speakers and attendees often struggled with inconsistent communication. There was no reliable way to confirm last-minute changes like room assignments or speaker role adjustments. For the first time ever, SNEB had a fully finalized schedule ready at registration launch. This was a key milestone that eliminated confusion and repetitive attendee questions. Other results included:
- Error reduction: Abstracts, which are published in a journal supplement, were managed and updated accurately. Past issues such as advisors unknowingly being listed on abstracts were avoided entirely.
